We want to make the transition as easy as possible for our recipients and service companions:
All of our available companions already come with their spay/neuter and basic vaccinations.
Our companions are available to selected veterans/service members/first responders/gold star families with no adoption fee.
"Civilians" may also adopt our available companions with a charitable donation (suggested $350).
This donation and all donations goes towards the rescue and care of future companions.

Whiskey - AVAILIBLE FOR ADOPTION!
"Whiskey" was surrendered to a shelter in San Antonio, TX with three of his brothers. He was at the shelter for only 3 days, the minimum, before being placed on the euthanasia list. 2 of the brothers were adopted but two remained. With less than 24 hours from being euthanized due to shelter capacity, one of our wonderful fosters pulled him and his brother, so they could have a chance at life. He is presently 9 months old (5/1/24)
After a short time in Texas with the foster, he was transported to Ohio. In this time, they were given the chance to put some weight on, become potty trained, and get a good start to life.
Whiskey was adopted out last October but has since been returned to us, sadly very underweight. The family stated he was "food aggressive" but since having him once again in our care, we have not observed that behavior towards us. He did resource guard food with another dog present, but given his condition, we can't blame him. He does like other dogs and has no issues being around other dogs.
Whiskey is presently fostered in Ohio.
Muffins (grey)- AVAILIBLE FOR ADOPTION!
Muffins is a 50 lbs, 7 yr old Labrador/Weimaraner mix. She is spayed, HW negative, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. She does have a little limp that we suspect could be arthritis and as well as two fatty lumps that will be getting removed.
Muffins is great with other dogs. Her foster reports she likes to cuddle and is a constant shadow. She is a lower energy dog for her size, probably due to her age.
She has been around children 7-8 yrs old and did well. She oddly enough doesn't seem to like to play with toys but is happy just being with you.
Muffins would do great with anyone really but we really think she would be perfect someone older looking for company and lots of love to give! she has been a great companion for her present foster
She is presently being fostered in Corpus Christi, TX but transport is available!
Muffin (black)- AVAILIBLE FOR ADOPTION!
Muffin is a 50 lb Labrador mix who is 3-4 years old. She UTD on vaccines, microchipped, spayed. She is HW positive but is presently being treated.
Muffin is hesitant with dogs but does warm up. She might growl to let her know she needs space but she is not aggressive. We think she might have been attacked by another dog at one point. She does seem to want to chase cats so we suggest no cats or smaller dogs.
Muffins LOVES people! She wants to give kisses and cuddle. She is good on the leash but seems scared in outiside. She will needs someone to be patient, build trust, and teach her the basics.
She is presently in Corpus Christi, TX but can be transported!
Dolly- AVAILIBLE FOR ADOPTION!
Dolly is a sweet 70 lb Lab/Dane mix. She is HW negative, UTD on vaccines, Spayed and Microchipped. She was saved from being euthanized in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dolly loves people but does better with older children (8 yr+) due to her size. She does seem to want to chase cats so we don't recommend small animals or small dogs. She is wonderful with dogs medium to large. She is a giant goofball who just wants to cuddle.
Dolly is presently in Mississippi with Three Lakes Dog Training where she has learned basic obedience btu her contract is now up and she is ready for her forever home! Transport is availible!
Jellybean - AVAILIBLE FOR ADOPTION!
Jellybean (formerly Ozzy) was adopted from us early this year. Although he is a great dog, his present owner is dealing with personal circumstances and has asked for us to help find him a new home.
Jellybean is a 1.5 yr old , 70lb shepherd/Lab mix ... among other things. The adopter did a DNA test and he is a bunch of things but above else, he's a good dog! He is UTD on shots, microchipped and has been treated for HW and is now HW Negative!
Jellybean loves to play with the other dog in the house, a hound. However the hound doesn't like playing due to his age. Jellybean would do just great with another dog he can play with. There is also a cat in the house and he tends to ignore the cat. He is potty trained.
Jellybean is a shadow for his present owner. He follows her everywhere and is never far from her side. He does seem to get a little jealous with attention being given to other animals, but not aggressive. We do recommend if the adopter has other pets, just be prepared for this. He would also do wonderfully as an only dog in the home.
Jellybean loves the water loves to get into the garden pond, silly boy. He would do very well in an active home because he is young and has the energy.
He is presently in eastern North Carolina but transport is available!
